All City of Gering parks are open from
6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Park Reservations are taken from May to September.
Oregon Trail Park Shelter, Legion Park Shelter and Gardner Park Shelter are available for reservation with a fee.
- Oregon Trail Park Large Shelter - $75 for 3 hours
- Legion Park Shelter - $50 for 3 hours
- Gardner Park Shelter - $50 for 3 hours
- Every additional three hours will be an additional $50 charge for Legion and Gardner Park Shelters.
- Every additional three hours will be an additional $75 charge for Oregon Trail Park.
Park Shelter Rental Agreement
All other picnic shelters are on a first come, first serve basis. All shelters are equipped with 110 volt 20 amp power. Shelter reservations for the current year can be made beginning the first business day in January.
Park Shelters must be reserved in advance and payment of rental fee and a signed rental agreement is required to secure the reservation. Citizens utilizing a park shelter are responsible for proper disposal of trash and clean-up. Fees are refundable if cancellation necessary if the City is notified 24 hours in advance of reservation during regular business hours.
Picnic Table Rental/Delivery Fees
Picnic table rentals are for public events only, not for residential use.
$10 per table/per day. Fee includes delivery and pick up of tables. Picnic tables must be reserved seven (7) days in advance on a first come first serve basis.
