The City of Gering's swimming pool is a vibrant hub of activity during the summer months. Popular with residents and visitors alike, the pool offers swimming lessons, private parties, family swim hours, lap swim and open swim times. The facility features a large water slide, a diving board, and a baby pool designed especially for younger swimmers, making it a fun and welcoming destination for all ages.

Swimming pool opening date varies from year to year based on staff availability, mechanical issues and weather.  Opening date will be announced in early May 2026.

Lap Swim              $3.00

Lap Swimming - Sunday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon 

Open Swimming - Daily from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m.
                                 Daily from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Family Hour - Daily from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Children must be accompanied by a parent)

Private Parties - Private pool parties can be scheduled at the pool with two weeks advance notice of the party date.  Pool parties can be scheduled from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.  The cost of a pool party is $200.00 for two hours.

Season Passes can be purchased at the City of Gering office, 1025 P Street,  prior to May 15th from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.   After that time they will need to be purchased at the pool unless they are paying by credit card.  There is a 3.5% transaction fee with the use of the credit card.

                                            (Married household & children 23 & under) This pass may only be used by Parents and their 
dependent children living in the same household. Proof of residence  and/or dependents may be required. Grandparents or babysitters may be added  for $25.00 per person.  

NO ALCOHOL and NO SMOKING

Guards are on duty at all times except in the baby pool area. Water slide rules apply during private parties.

Pool passes may also be purchased at the Gering Swimming Pool; however, payment at this location is limited to cash or check only.

The goal of Gering Swimming Pool staff is for all children to have the opportunity to learn to swim.  The Gering Swimming Pool will hold three sessions of swimming lessons.  Classes begin at 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. and last 45 minutes.
