The City of Gering's swimming pool is a vibrant hub of activity during the summer months. Popular with residents and visitors alike, the pool offers swimming lessons, private parties, lap swim and open swim times. The facility features a large water slide, a diving board, and a baby pool designed especially for younger swimmers, making it a fun and welcoming destination for all ages.

Open Swimming - Daily: 12 noon to 7:00 p.m.
Lap Swimming - Sunday - Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

(Married household & children 23 & under) This pass may only be used by Parents and their dependent children living in the same household. Proof of residence and/or dependents may be required.  

Season passes may be purchased at Gering City Hall, 1025 P Street, prior to May 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After May 26, passes must be purchased at the pool, where payment is limited to cash or check only. If paying by credit card, payment must be made at City Hall. A 3.5% transaction fee will be applied to all credit card purchases.

Private Parties - Private pool parties can be scheduled at the pool with two weeks advance notice of the party date.  Pool parties can be scheduled from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.  The cost of a pool party is $200.00 for two hours for 50 guests. If party has more than 50 guests, a fee of $4 per guest will be charged at time of event.

Swimming Lessons

We believe every child should have the opportunity to learn to swim. Gering Swimming Pool staff's desire is to instruct children on the fundamentals of swimming and provide the opportunity to gain confidence in the water. Each session of lessons are two weeks and consist of 45 minutes of instruction. Classes begin at 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m.  Session dates are as follows: 

June 8 - 19
June 22 - July 3
July 13 - 24

$30.00 with pool pass
$45.00 without pool pass
