                                              TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WEST U STREET IN GERING

GERING – City of Gering officials would like to inform citizens that West U Street, from Five Rocks Road to the Common Grounds Dog Park, will be closed 

beginning Friday, September 4, 2026 p.m., for concrete replacement. It is expected to be reopening the  afternoon of Monday, September 7, 2026. 

The dog park can still be accessed by using the Canal Road.

The City of Gering Landfill will be closing at 12 noon Friday, September 4, 2026. 

City Officials respectfully request that drivers and pedestrians use caution when traveling in this area and to use alternate routes.
