Nebraska Class B Boys State Golf Championships Coming to Monument Shadows Golf Course

NEBRASKA CLASS B BOYS STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS 

COMING TO MONUMENT SHADOWS GOLF COURSE

 

GERING, NE — The Cities of Gering and Scottsbluff are proud to announce that they will host the Nebraska Class B Boys State Golf Championships on Wednesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Monument Shadows Golf Course. The event will welcome top high school golfers, coaches, and families from Class B schools across the state to the Panhandle for two days of elite competition.

“Hosting Boys State Golf is a tremendous opportunity for Gering and Scottsbluff to showcase our area,” said Amy Seiler, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Gering. “We ask our residents for their patience for the minor inconvenience of street parking in your area as we host visitors from across the state on Wednesday and Thursday.”

Spectator Parking and Local Impacts – Wednesday & Thursday, May 28–29

In preparation for the championship, additional parking will be required on Wednesday and Thursday (May 28–29) for early arrivals, practice rounds, and pre-event activities. Residents of the Monument Heights neighborhood are advised of increased street parking along the following areas:

  • Country Club Road, from Buffalo Circle to Monument Shadows Golf Course – parking WILL be allowed for spectators.

  • Monument Heights neighborhood streets – expect increased parking.

  • NO parking will be allowed on the east side of Clubhouse Drive to ensure a safe driving lane.

  • NO parking on the east side of Grandview.

  • The bike lane/pathway on Country Club Road will be temporarily closed to accommodate tournament parking.

Volunteer shuttles will transport attendees between neighborhood parking areas and the golf course throughout both days.
