Please join us for an Arbor Day Celebration and tree planting 

Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m.

at Oregon Trail Park Shelter.

The City of Gering annually celebrates tree planting in our community.  Trees are a valuable resource to our community as they clean our air, capture and filter rainwater, provide habitat for wildlife, shade our homes and provide overall a great quality of life for our Gering residents.  Please join the Parks, Cemetery and Tree Board along with 4^th graders from Geil Elementary School to enjoy an Arbor Day program and seed collecting and acorn planting activity.
