Scotts Bluff County Joins Adams Family Pumpkin Patch for 250th Celebration

SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY, Ne. — Local organizers are making final plans for a special joint celebration as Scotts Bluff County and Adams Family Pumpkin Patch come together on October 24, 2026 to wrap up the County’s 250th celebration.

The event will celebrate the agricultural roots of Western Nebraska with a day filled with family activities, history and fun. Guests are invited to explore the corn maze while completing a scavenger hunt, search for the final Hiding Hiram location, test your knowledge at the agriculture trivia markers and experience living history.

The local VFW will also be serving up burgers and hotdogs, with the first 100 guests receiving a free meal.

“With our focus on agriculture in 2026, we named the county celebration ‘Our Story Began in the Soil – Celebrating 250 Years.’ It only seemed right to ask Adams Family Pumpkin Patch to host the event,” said Tourism Director Brenda Leisy. “The entire week is dedicated to agriculture, as we will also be wrapping up the Nebraska Agri-tourism Conference that week.”
