MEAN kicks off second year of energy efficiency programs

The Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska, in partnership with the local electric utilities it serves, is providing another year of energy efficiency programs that provide cash incentives paid directly to customers to help cover the cost of energy efficient upgrades.

The programs include three residential programs: smart thermostat program, attic insulation program and cooling system tune-up program.  MEAN’s commercial LED lighting program is also available for another year.

The programs are available to customers of MEAN long-term whole sale power participants, with funds being on a first-come, first-served basis until funds last.  Funding for the Commercial LED Lighting Program is $105,000 and funding for the three residential programs are $15,000 for each program.
