| The City of Gering boasts one of the finest park systems in the State of Nebraska. Gering is committed to providing a clean, safe, and fun environment for enjoyment. Parks Include:

The swimming pool, complete with a water slide, tennis courts, horse shoe pits, sand volleyball courts, playground equipment, baseball diamonds, ice skating rink and skateboard track are located in this park. Shelters complete with electricity are available. In addition to this complex, Gering has several quality parks and an arboretum located in the city. |
| Oregon Trail Park Shelter, Oregon Trail Campground Shelter, Legion Park Shelter and Gardner Park Shelter are available for reservation free of charge. All other picnic shelters are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All shelters are equipped with 110 volt 20 amp power. Shelter reservations for the current year can be made beginning the first business day in January. Reservations can be made in person at the City Administrative Offices at 1025 "P" Street, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or by calling (308) 436-5096.

Five Rocks Amphitheater |
| Located along Five Rocks Road west of Gering, this amphitheater and pavilion houses bands and other open-air entertainment in the summer months, as well as Thursday night movies with a "drive-in"-like atmosphere. Click here for more information |

"U" Street Pathway This pathway is commonly used by bicycles, joggers and exercise enthusiasts. The pathway starts at 10th Street and continues up "U" Street to the Scotts Bluff National Monument. |

Robidoux RV Park
|
| Located at the base of historic Scotts Bluff National Monument are many camping pads complete with electricity, cable TV, and water hook-ups. A multi-purpose building is located on the premises that houses shower and laundry facilities. The multi-purpose room which can be rented for a variety of activities and events. The room can be reserved by RV Park guests and the public at any time of the year. The room accommodates 40 to 60 people. The kitchen area includes a stove, oven, and refrigerator. | Recreation Area |
| Fishing, camping, and water recreation can be enjoyed by visitors at the lake which is approximately 15 miles north east of Gering. The only inland lighthouse in the United States is located at the lake. |
