Gering Swimming Pool

The City of Gering's swimming pool is quite a hub of activity in the summer months. Swimming lessons, private parties, family hour, and open swimming are quite popular among Gering's residents. Gering's swimming pool includes a large water slide, two tube slides, a diving board, and a baby pool for our younger residents and visitors. 

Swimming lesson sign-ups and season passes are available at the pool once the swimming season begins.  The Monument Valley Adventure Pass is available only at City Hall.

The pool will open for the 2008 season on May 30th.

Season passes can be purchased at City Hall beginning May 1st and at the pool once the swimming season begins.

Private Group Rates:

$150.00 Minimum or $3.00 per person over 50 people. Price includes water slide. Adult supervision is required. If it rains, we will attempt to reschedule for you.

The public will not be asked to leave the pool until 8:00 p.m. People attending the party are welcome at any time. Outside gates are locked during the party.

NO ALCOHOL and NO SMOKING

Guards are on duty at all times except in the baby pool area. Water slide rules apply during private parties.

To secure the date of your party, you must pay the $150 deposit at the City Office, 1025 "P" Street.

Due to staff returning to college, private parties will not be scheduled after August 19th.

Red Cross Swimming Lessons

SUMMER 2008

Three sessions of lessons will be available.

Each session will offer lesson Levels 1-6.

If lessons are cancelled due to cold and/or rain, the lessons will be "made-up" on the Monday of the week where no swimming lessons are scheduled.

Private one-on-one lessons are available during the week in between the sessions where no regular lessons will be taught.

LESSON DATES AND TIMES:

June 9 - 20, 2008                  9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

June 23 - July 4, 2008          9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

July 28 - August 8, 2008       9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
