Northfield Villa

Heritage Health care is a recently remodeled  nursing care facility. Private and semi-private units provide 101 beds.

Dome Rock Manor, a five-story, forty unit apartment building, is located just three blocks from Gering's downtown business area. This facility is popular with seniors in excellent health who are "on the go."

The Valacia Apartments in Gering offer 24 individual units for senior living with 13 units being subsidized for low income persons.

Bluff View Manor, low-cost rentals operated by the Scotts Bluff County Housing Authority, offers private living quarters for 332 elderly households. All are subsidized rentals.

Gering Senior Center offers meals to the elderly and a place for social gatherings. The center is located on 10th Street in Gering.

Schools

Gering Public Schools began in 1887 with one teacher and twelve students in a log cabin. Our district now serves 1,934 students and employs 138 teachers, ten administrators, and 89 support personnel.
