Handicap Permits

Applications for Handicapped Permits may be obtained at the City of Gering Administrative Offices at 1025 "P" Street.  Applications are also available for download from the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles website at: www.dmv.state.ne.us

Complete the top portion of the Application for Handicapped Parking Permit, present the application to a licensed physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner for completion of the Medical Certificate portion (bolded box portion) and bring the completed form into the City of Gering Administrative Offices with proof of identification.

Once the Administrative Office receives an application, it is then submitted to the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles for further processing.  Once the application is processed, the permit will be mailed to the applicant from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
